04 NIGHTS / 05 DAYS GHOREPANI TREK.

Day 01: POKHARA (820 M) -NAYAPUL (1070 M) /TIRKHEDHUNGA (1540 M).

After breakfast meet your Guide and porters at Hotel in Pokhara. We drive to Nayapul- 41 km, which takes approximately one and half-hour. Then we proceed on trek towards Birethanti (1065 m) that is located on the opposite bank of Modi Khola. There is a large and prosperous town with a winding street paved with large stones. After immediately leaving the main street of Birethanti we pass through a large waterfall and swimming hole and our trail stays on the north bank of the Hurungdi Khola on a fairly level up to Sudame Village. After Sudame, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley about 45 minutes to reach the Tirkhedhunga village. O/N at Lodge in  Tirkhedhunga. 4 hours walk.

Day 02: TIRKHEDHUNGA (1540 M) / GHOREPANI (2750 m).

Today after crossing over the Burungdi River on a large bridge at 1410 m, the trail immediately climbs very steeply up to the large Magar Village of Ulleri (1960 m). As we climb, the tops of Annapurna South (7219 m), Hiunchuli (6441), begin to merge from behind the hills. After Ulleri, the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. The fields soon give way to deep forest as the trail climbs to Banthanti (2300 m) where we stop for our lunch at the local restaurant. We can see the view of Gangapurna (7454 m) and Fish Tail (6993 m). Beyond the village of Banthanti , there are magnificent oak and rhododendron forest. From here, Ghorepani is reached in about 3 hours past some sparkling clear streams and some teashops. O/N at local lodge in Ghorepani. 6 hours walk.

Day 03: GHOREPANI (2750 m) / TADAPANI (2590 m).

An early morning excursion to POON HILL (3200 m) about an hour climb, which provided an unobstructed view of the High Himalayas such as Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Annapurna I (8091 m), Tukuche Peak (6920 m), Hiunchuli (6441 m), Fish Tail (6993 m), Annapurna III (7555 m), Annapurna IV (7525 m), Annapurna II (7939), Lamjung Himal (6932 m), Nilgiri South (6839 m), Manaslu (8163 m) etc.

Poon Hill is one of the best places of the world from where we can see the Superb views of the Himalayas.  After enjoying the mountain views from Poon Hill, we come down to Ghorepani for our breakfast. After the breakfast, we continue to walk for Tadapani (2590 m). The trail climbs on a stone staircase about one and half hour onto the ridge and then the trail goes down hill to the village of Banthanti (2520 m) through dense forest of oak, firs and rhododendron.

The village of Banthanti is located in the shadow of a huge rock face where we stop for our lunch. Beyond Banthanti, the trail starts climbing, leaving the moist, high mountain forests and entering a field of cane, making some ups and owns onto the ridge offers a brief view of the mountains. The trail climbs steeply about half an hour before reaching Tadapani which means "Far Water" is an ideal place to see the views of Annapurna ranges, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Fish Tail etc. O/N at lodge in Tadapani.  6 hours walk.

Day 04:  TADAPANI (2590 m) / GHANDRUK (1940 m)

Ghandruk trail descends steeply through a big and thick forest to Deurali. A short and steep descent continues gently past some gorge streams, finally leading out on a ridge towards Ghandruk. Ghandruk is beautifully set against the backdrop view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Ganga Purna and Fish Tail. Trek to Ghandruk about 4 hours walk. Rest of the day is free to visit the local community. O/N at Lodge in Ghandruk.

Day 05: GHANDRUK (1940 m) / NAYAPUL (1070 m) -POKHARA (820 m).

Today all the way from Ghandruk to Nayapul is gradually down. Trek to Nayapul about 6 hours walk. Drive back to Pokhara about one and half hour.
